2 min read

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an extra layer of security that protects your Futura Broker account against unauthorized access by requiring an additional confirmation beyond your password.

Why enable 2FA?

Go to the link https://futurabroker.com/settings

  • ✅ Protection against unauthorized access
  • ✅ Enhanced security even if your password is compromised
  • ✅ Required for sensitive operations such as withdrawals and account changes
  • ✅ Recommended by digital security experts

How to ENABLE the 2FA Code

  1. Access the 2FA Authentication option. Click on Profile (profile icon) and then on Enable 2FA Authentication

  2. Start the setup. Click on Configure

  3. Download the authenticator app.

    • Install Google Authenticator or Authy on your mobile device
    • Available for free on the Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS)
  4. Scan the QR Code.

    • The platform will display a QR Code on the screen
    • Open the authenticator app and scan the code
    • A 6-digit numeric code will be generated automatically
  5. Confirm activation.

    • Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app in the field indicated on the platform
    • Click on Confirm
    • Store the recovery code provided in a safe place

How to DISABLE the 2FA Code

  1. Access the security settings. Click on your Profile and go to Security Settings

  2. Select the option to disable 2FA.

    • Choose the Disable 2FA option
    • You will be asked for the current 6-digit code from your authenticator app
  3. Confirm deactivation.

    • Enter the 6-digit code and click on Confirm
    • 2FA will be removed from your account immediately

⚠️ Warning: Disabling 2FA significantly reduces the security of your account. We recommend keeping it always enabled.

Security

  • ✅ Never share your 2FA codes with third parties
  • ✅ Store the recovery code in a safe, offline location
  • ✅ Do not install the authenticator app on shared devices
  • ✅ If you switch phones, disable 2FA first and re-enable it on the new device

Important tips

  • 💡 Tip 1: If you lose access to the authenticator app, use the recovery code to restore access to your account
  • 💡 Tip 2: If you do not have the recovery code, contact support via Ticket to request manual removal of 2FA
  • 💡 Tip 3: Keep the authenticator app always updated to avoid failures when generating codes
  • 💡 Tip 4: The 6-digit code is renewed every 30 seconds, so make sure to enter it before it expires
