How to Place Trades?

4 min read

Trading on Futura Broker is simple, but it's worth understanding what each control does before you open your first position. Get to know the screen and follow the steps below.

1. Select the asset

Log in to your account and choose the asset you want to trade (for example: Bitcoin, EUR/USD, Solana). The price appears on the chart in real time, and each asset shows its profit percentage (payout).

2. Adjust the Candle Period

The Candle Period changes only the appearance of the chart — the size of each candle (1, 5, 15, 30 minutes or 1 hour). It is meant for your visual analysis and has nothing to do with the duration of your trade.

3. Set the Trade Duration

The Trade Duration is the time until your entry expires (for example: 1, 5, 10 or 15 minutes). You're the one who chooses it — and it's this value, not the candle period, that determines when the trade closes.

Important: Candle Period and Trade Duration are different things. The candle period is only the chart's visual; the duration is the time until the trade closes. Changing the candle period does not change the duration.

4. Set the investment and the direction

In the trading panel, enter the amount under Investment (check your balance first) and choose the direction:

  • Buy — you believe the price will rise from the entry.
  • Sell — you believe the price will fall from the entry.

The panel also shows the expected return (payout) and the selected duration.

5. Confirm and wait for the result

When you tap Buy or Sell, the trade is recorded with the time and the opening price and the chosen duration — from that point on, it cannot be changed. When the duration runs out, the trade closes on its own and the system compares the closing price with the opening price:

  • On a Buy, you win if the closing price is above the opening price.
  • On a Sell, you win if it is below.

The result is credited to or debited from your balance instantly.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between Candle Period and Trade Duration?

They are independent controls. The Candle Period changes only the chart's appearance (the size of each candle) and helps with your analysis. The Trade Duration is the time until your entry expires — and you're the one who chooses it. Changing the candle period does not change the trade duration.

Why did the trade close earlier than I expected?

The trade closes exactly at the Duration you selected (1, 5, 10 or 15 minutes), not at the chart's candle period. Before confirming, check the duration in the panel — it's what determines the close.

Can the result of my trade be disputed?

The result is determined objectively by two pieces of data recorded with the trade: the opening price and the closing price. If you'd like to dispute it, open a support ticket providing the position ID, the opening and closing times, the prices and the direction. Our team reviews each case based on these records.

The price kept rising after my Buy closed. Should I have won?

No. All that matters is the comparison between the opening price and the price at the exact moment of expiration. Price movements after the close do not affect the result, even if the asset appreciates right afterward.

Can I change or cancel a trade that's already open?

No. Once confirmed, the trade is recorded with a fixed time, price and duration, and runs until it closes automatically.

Where do I see the duration before confirming?

The duration appears in the trading panel, next to the investment and the Buy and Sell buttons, before you confirm. Always check this field so you're never unsure about when the trade will close.
